January's Exclusive Candles

Happy 2026, my friends!

I am so looking forward to another year of our Candle Club. Each month brings me so much excitement and inspiration.

To start January off, my partner and I always take a frigid dip in the ocean. Living in coastal British Columbia, we are lucky to spend a lot of time near the sea. There is something very clarifying about the beach in deep winter - a feeling of total surrender to the wind and waves.

Sitting on the frozen rocks and looking out towards the endless sea, I felt so relaxed and open to possibility. Knowing that when the tide went out, new magic would be revealed that had previously been hidden. Rocks teeming with starfish, shining pebbles and barnacles. That's where this month's candle concept came from.

Mermaid Trove is a set that I hope will evoke the feeling of openness and possibility for the new year. A honey coloured candle with skullcap to open your mind, an algae coloured candle with damiana to cleanse your thoughts and allow intuition to flow. And finally, a shiva shell polished into a beautiful star shape to remind you of magic wherever you go.

Even if the way forward is not always clear, with time and openness the tide will go out and reveal something new and beautiful to you.
